CSA Farm Share Terms and Conditions

By subscribing to The Urban Farmer CSA Farm Share Program, you understand fully that the share you receive is based on availability of harvest. You understand that there will be some weeks where you may receive more and some where you may receive less. You also understand that we are not responsible for Acts of God and that by subscribing you are willing to accept the conditions the farmers are faced with as part of your own risk.

Pick-up/Delivery: All shares are required to be picked up unless other specific arrangements are made with us. When you sign-up you choose a delivery time and place. If you do not pick-up your share by the designated closing time of the pick-up location, the contents of your share will be donated or composted. If you do not pick up your share, it will still be counted as having been received and will be deducted from your account.

Pausing or stopping your deliveries: You may pause your deliveries for a period if you know you won’t be able to pick up providing you do so before midnight on the Monday preceding the next scheduled delivery date. The Urban Farmer uses software from Farmigo to help you manage your account and deliveries. You can pause your deliveries by logging-in to your account at Farmigo (accessed through links on www.theurbanfarmerflorida.com). You can also notify us by email or by phone.

Please bring your own bag(s) or container to transport your food. At some pick-up locations, your share will be kept in a box to protect and cool the food. Please transfer the food to your bag, and leave the box at the location.

Share Contents: Your weekly share will generally include 8 to 15 items, and will include a mix of seasonal fruits and vegetables. We may also include locally-made food items. Most items will be ripe and ready to eat. Occasionally, some items will need to ripen a few extra days. We will do our best to include common items you are used to eating, but we may also include something you haven’t been accustomed to if it is abundant during a particular week’s harvest. We will do our best to provide you with recipes to help you prepare each week’s items.

Cancellations and Refunds: CSA Farm Shares from The Urban Farmer, represent a multi-week, seasonal commitment to support local farmers. We plan and plant in advance in order to fulfill your share orders. All registrations will auto-renew for the term you selected during registration (4, 8, or 12 pickups) after your last paid pickup. You may cancel recurring billing by logging into your account or by notifying us before your last scheduled pickup.

Payment: Shares (either ½ or full share) are ordered and paid for at a minimum of 4 pickups at a time. Initial payment is due at the time of sign-up. Subsequent payments (for a minimum of 4 pickups) will be billed automatically (recurring billing) the day after you accept your last paid pickup. You have full control of your account through the online service Farmigo, accessible through our website.

Renewal: Initial commitment is for a minimum of 4 pickups (either full or ½ shares). Your subscription will auto-renew for an additional term of the number of pickups you selected during registration (4, 8, or 12) after your last paid pickup unless you notify us before the last pickup or login to your account on Farmigo to change your preferences.
